The Speech

Girl 1: We need to talk.

Girl 2: We’ve been together for a little while now, and I think...

Girl 3: ...it would be better if we were just friends.

Girl 4: I mean you’re a great guy and all,

Girl 1: ... but it’s just not working out.

Girl 2: It’s not you,

Girl 3: ... it’s me.

Girl 4: I’m just in a weird place in my life right now, and...

Girl 1: ... I think it would be better if...

Girl 2: ... we just had our space.

Girl 3: I just don’t think...

Girl 4: ... I want a relationship right now.

Girl 1: Don’t get me wrong...

Girl 2: I like you, but...

Girl 3: ... it’s just not working out.

Girl 4: I don’t think we really...

Girl 1: ...have that much in common.

Girl 2: It seems like we’re...

Girl 3: ...going in different directions.

Girl 4: I don’t see much of a...

Girl 1: ...future here.

Girl 2: You know how it is.

Girl 3: Plus I’ve been spending a lot of...

Girl 4: ...time with someone else lately.

Girl 1: We’re just friends, but...

Girl 2: ...you know. You’ve always

Girl 3: ...been almost too nice.

Girl 4: I just see you as...

Girl 1: ... more of a friend.

Girl 2: I hope you understand.

Girl 3: We can still hang out...

Girl 4: ... sometimes, but I just need...

Girl 1: some time to myself.

Girl 2: I’m glad you are...

Girl 3: ... OK with this.

Girl 4: This isn’t easy for me, either...

Girl 1: ... so I’m glad you understand.

Girl 2: Well, I’ve gotta...

Girl 3: ...get going now.

Girl 4: I’m glad we could...

Girl 1: ... have this talk. I’ll call...

Girl 2: ... you sometime. We can...

Girl 3: ...hang out. As friends.

Girl 4: Talk to you later.

All: Bye.
