TWENTY QUESTIONS ABOUT BEHEADINGS

NARRATOR: Twenty questions:
What does it feel like to behead a man?
Is it fun?
Is it spiritually satisfying?
Do you get a vaguely erotic thrill from decapitating another human being?
Is it done in a single slice?
Or is it more a matter of hacking at the neck like chopping at a log?
Or is it more sawing back and forth until the spinal cord finally snaps?
What kind of sound does each method produce?
Do the hideous screams of the victim distract you?
Or do they just enhance the moment?
At what point does the screaming stop?
Does the screaming stop suddenly?
Or does it trail off to more of a gurgle?
Is there a lot of blood?
How long does it keep spurting out of the bloody stump of a neck?
Is there a pecking order to who gets to hold up the head?
And who has to clean up afterward?
Do you sit around afterward and swap stories about how this victim reacted compared to Nicholas Berg?
Or do you critique the videotape and suggest different camera angles for the next time?
What does it feel like to behead a man? (Lights out.)
