The Bird

By: Sparkly Kittens

**The regular font is the spoken poem by the "poet" The italic is the other performers "interpretive dance"***

The wind

Moving arms side to side

Blows gently

Still moving side to side with a calm look upon her face

Seductively

Moving seductively

To

Stopping arms to one side

Fro

Stopping arms to the other side

To

Holding up two fingers

Fro

Pointing to space above her head referring to an Afro hairstyle

(poet stops and looks at interpretive dancer disapprovingly, dancer regains composure and looks serious again)

And me

Gestures to herself

Sitting

Sitting position

Wallowing

Gets on ground and rolls around like a pig

Seductively

Still rolling around but seductively

Contemplating

Gets up making an almost constipated look

Like a bird

(?)

looks at poet then makes the "she’s been drinking motion to the audience"

poet shrugs then continues

On a rock

Forms a rock

Singing

Mocks a bird singing silently while waving arms

Her little tune

Quack

Quack

Dancer looks at poet then gestures to the audience that the poet has actually been smoking marijuana

poet regains composure realizing that quack quack was stupid

(Revises)

Mocks a birds song again

A momma bird

Cradling a baby

Her young

Looks up as she has her mouth wide open

Feeding time

Opens a can a worms

Selflessly

Tilts head up as she consumes long worms

Seductively

Doing it seductively

Chewing

Chewing worms

For the chewing impaired

Regurgitating

Does a vulgar regurgitation imitation

To revisit food

Once eaten

Seductively

Regurgitating seductively

I find

I wish

To be

That bird

Flapping arms like a bird as she flys away

The end.
