Limericks
by Amy Honn
I have been listed in the orders that you have, for a couple of dates in
1991. My name, at the time, was Amy Honn (it is listed in two places as
"Haun" and "Hahn." No problem. Folks often get it wrong, and I realize
that at one time it was from the ISCA bbs.).
There is one you have titled "Limericks."
I remember a couple I wrote for that. Here is the grand finale of my
performance:
"A man and his wife, in a dinghy,
were rowing around; she was singing.
He said to her, "Claire,
I have had an affair."
So she sighed,
and then cut off his thingy."
So angry with men I was! So talking like Yoda I am!
The other thing you have for me was selected for Best Of No Shame in
December, 1991. The title was, "Amy Jo's Poetry Corner." I believe I
did read the limericks, as they had decided they were better than my
haiku.

Some uncertainty about the date of this piece.
An ISCA discussion for this date mentions:
"the beautiful young woman who read those enticingly funny limericks.....who was that woman in blue????"
- October 11, 1991 - No Shame Iowa City
This piece - or parts of it - may also have been performed at Best of No Shame on
December 13, 1991 as "Amy Honn's Poetry Corner".
