Hip Hop Syndrome by Tucker Duncan

My lust is heavier
Than a five pound bag of rice.
My enemy is more
Consistent than the crew
Of 139 on freestyles.
My anger spins faster than
Wild out records
Despite the fader.

I miss that dangerous life
That I chose to out run.
When I sported two for fives
On sideway alley spots
With no rocks but
Change in my pockets.
Controlling the freshest b-boy
Threads with the
Patent leather kicks to match.

Strutting with cream swiveling
An abbreviation that silently
Screams for me to revolt,
I remember those cravings
For yellow, red, and blue
Flavored magic.
A bass pulsating sinister
Blasts atomically mastered rhythms.
I sold black chocolate masks
Of overflowing destruction.

I never meant to
Punk that kid whose
Destiny was uncertain
Compared to mine.
For which I thought
At the timely effort I portrayed.

A table of temptation,
Overpowering these crippled hands.
Famous MC's stand in stance
Frozen to the walls
All I can do is stare
While they shriek, grow enormously.
Talking with me in
Rhythmic patterns
Morse code slashing away the earlids
Nasty configurations of
Hype poetry deep within,
Surfacing.

Knocking down bystanders
Secrets can no longer be held,
Inside the stomach acid
Overturning itself
While I fist furious
Rocking microphones in
My skull biiiiioooooooooottcchh!

So look out for a new
Existence with no
Masks
Chocolate
Change or
Rocks in his pockets.
